John Carkner, Past President, Chairman, Board of Directors
Prior to his responsibilities with Pillar5, John was employed by Pfizer Canada for over 29 years. He began his career as a Quality Control microbiologist, and progressed through positions of increasing responsibility in Pfizer’s Chemical, Animal Health and Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. He served as Quality Operations Manager for 9 years and Site Leader for 10 years at Pfizer Canada’s manufacturing operations at Arnprior, Ontario.
John holds a degree in Microbiology from the University of Guelph.
Vince Cozzi, Director, Finance
A Finance professional with over 17 years’ experience, Vince was part of the Financial team with the Canadian Corporate Office of Pfizer prior to joining Keata and Pillar5.
Vince holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and a CGA designation.
Art Gosling, Director, Business Intelligence
A seasoned professional in business systems and IT, Art has over 30 years experience in world class manufacturing organizations. Prior to joining Pillar5, Art worked with Digital Equipment Corporation for 22 years and DY4 / Curtiss-Wright Controls, Embedded Computing for 10 years.
Rob Lane, Director, Materials Management
Prior to joining the Pillar5 organization, Rob spent 29 years with Pfizer in both the U.S. and Canada. He began his career in Production Planning and Inventory Control and progressed through management roles to leading global Supply Chain, Materials Management and Logistics functions. He is highly regarded as an expert in the areas of production planning, inventory control, procurement, warehousing, distribution, logistics and materials management.
Jocelyn Larose, Vice President, Business Development
Jocelyn has over 10 years experience in the entrepreneurial and sales and marketing arena. Prior to joining Keata and Pillar5, he had a very successful career as business development in the U. S. for a Canadian Pharma and Biopharma contract manufacturer. Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from HEC in Montreal.
Jamie Moore, Chief Operating Officer
Prior to becoming part of Pillar5, Jamie spent 16 years with Pfizer. Joining Pfizer as a Lab Technician, he has held progressively senior roles within the Manufacturing and Quality operations.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Guelph.
Jennifer Nicholson, Director, Quality Operations
Jennifer has a total of 14 years of pharmaceutical experience – including background experience in radiopharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Pillar5, Jennifer spent 4 years with Pfizer in Product Assurance and has progressed in various levels of responsibility. She previously held positions as Quality Compliance Team Leader and Quality Assurance Manager. Jenn has also been instrumental in leading teams for LEAN Six Sigma.
Jennifer holds a BSc in Biochemistry (University of Ottawa) and is certified in: Quality Management (University of Manitoba); Six Sigma Green Belt, LEAN and Project Management.
Kevin Rampton, CEO
Kevin is the founder and formerly Chairman and CFO of Pillar5 Pharma Inc. Prior to founding Pillar5, Kevin successfully initiated many public and private ventures and held many business positions in various industries. He was President/Founder of Ottawa River Waterway Inc. of which Profit Magazine awarded the Profit 100 Award for being named “one of Canada’s fastest growing companies” in 2004, 2005 & 2006.
Kevin Holds a CCIM designation, “PHD of Commercial Real Estate”.
Tod Vandrish, Director, Manufacturing and Engineering
Prior to joining Pillar5, Tod had 13 years experience with Pfizer. Starting in the lab, he has successfully progressed through senior roles in Quality, Formulations and Manufacturing.
Tod holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Chemical Environmental Engineering from University of Ottawa.
